20-year plan to improve services and infrastructure

Summary

The Community Services and Infrastructure Plan 2018-2038 is a robust plan that sets out our goals for providing quality services and facilities in ways that can serve the community now and into the future.

Council has adopted a plan that will help shape the future needs of community services and infrastructure across Brimbank.

Brimbank Mayor Cr Lucinda Congreve said that this is an important plan for Council that will help facilitate investment in future community infrastructure projects as well as provide a vision for the types of services planned for Brimbank.

“Brimbank is evolving. It is a dynamic, bustling and growing community at the heart of Melbourne’s booming west.

“Council recognises the importance of being innovative and future-focused as we respond to Brimbank’s changing community needs over the next 20 years.

“The plan will guide our decision-making on future community infrastructure projects, funding requirements, advocacy efforts and partnership opportunities.

“The plan covers access to wide ranging community facilities and services that are modern and flexible including community health, meeting spaces, early years services, libraries, neighbourhood houses, and arts and culture.

“This plan is vital for Brimbank and will ensure that our growing community is well serviced now and for future generations to come,” Cr Congreve said.

Council adopted the Community Services and Infrastructure Plan 2018-2038 at its 20 November Ordinary Council Meeting.
