Finding the right course or activity just got a whole lot easier! Our quarterly Discover Learning in Brimbank guide now has its own website.
The new online format lets you easily discover low cost and no charge classes, courses and programs offered in Brimbank.
Discover arts, crafts, computers and technology, cooking, family activities, health and fitness, music, and dance! The guide also includes language and tutoring sessions, social activities and games, and sustainable living workshops.
There's more than 300 listings! With activities for children, youth, adults and seniors - you're sure to find something to inspire you.
You can browse by venue or category to find out what's happening near you. Courses and activities are held in Community Centres, Libraries, Recreation and Leisure centres throughout Brimbank:

The 2016 Brimbank Cup is a fantastic opportunity to watch some great soccer, have a fun time out, and most of all - support your local club or community team!

There’s so much to do and learn at the Brimbank Sustainable Living Expo this February – gardening, to backyard bee keeping, swapping clothes and much more.
Garden expert Jane Edmanson from ABC Gardening Australia and 3AW will share composting tips and tricks for healthy soil.
There'll also be competitions, children’s activities and much more.

The Brimbank Council elections will be held by postal vote later this year. All postal votes must be received by 6pm on Friday 21 October.
It will be your responsibility to elect Councillors after seven years of administration.
Eleven elected Councillors will form the Council, which will be responsible for making decisions in the best interests of the Brimbank community, considering both the immediate and long term impacts.
The election will be conducted by postal vote.
If you will be 18 years or over on election day, are an Australian citizen and you live or are a ratepayer in Brimbank, then you will be eligible to vote.

Information Sessions For Interested Candidates
The Victorian Local Governance Association will conduct candidate information sessions on behalf of Brimbank City Council for people interested in becoming a Councillor.
Sessions will be presented in March 2016. Check our Brimbank Votes page for dates. The sessions will be delivered in two parts 'Should I be a candidate?' and 'How do I become a candidate?'

Learn music skills from exciting young artists at the forefront of hip-hop's next generation on Saturday 13 February, 5.30pm - 6.30pm. Arts Centre Melbourne's flagship Active Arts workshop with Dig Deep & MASSIVE FAM come together to deliver Fresh Take, a series of workshops in performance, song-writing and rap.
Another Active Arts workshop with Nicky Bomba will take place on Saturday 27 February, 5.30pm - 6.30pm. Bring your voice, instruments, and percussion, and help us celebrate music's influence in our everyday lives. Presented by Arts Centre Melbourne.
Popular films Jumanji and Close Encounters of the Third Kind will feature as part of Light Up Sunshine's Movies in the Park on Saturday 13 February and Saturday 27 February, respectively.

Council is seeking your feedback via an online survey for our updated Cycling and Walking Strategy. Feedback will be analysed and incorporated into the revised strategy.
Council is reviewing the Brimbank Cycling and Walking Strategy in response to a number of changes that have occurred since the strategy was adopted in 2008.
