Calling Brimbank Businesses - Small Business Festival Victoria 2015
The Small Business Festival Victoria 2015 offers more than 350 free or low cost events, information and support for small business operators.

So take advantage of the many opportunities at the festival, including network with like-minded business owners and experts from industry associations, federal, state and local government.

More than 36,000 people attended the festival in 2014. Discover ways to grow your business, including these workshops happening in the West:

  • Starting Your Business Workshop Wednesday 5 August, 6–9.30pm ($30)
    Starting your own business can be daunting. Making the right moves early can set your new business on the road to success. This workshop covers carrying out a feasibility study, determining the best company structure, and preparing a business plan.

  • Success Outside Home Office Walls: Mastering the Transition Wednesday 12 August, 9.30am
    $30)

    This one day event is jam packed with workshops on grants, financing and business planning. Hear about all things small business, expansion and growth related. Take a tour of the Western BACE to see available resources and opportunities to generate ideas, collaborate, and leverage linkages in a state of the art space.

  • Business Networking Seminar Wednesday 19 August, 6–8pm ($30)
    Approximately 87% of business is generated by networking, so you need to do it well. This seminar will provides you with the tools you need for effective relationship building and business development.

Community Governance Training, Thursday 23 July, 10am–12noon
Brimbank community groups are invited to attend a training session on budget, funding and fundraising ideas. This session help your group with practical advice to plan your budget and fundraising practices.

Registrations are essential and close on Friday 17 July.

New Leisure Centre Activities Timetable
Residents are invited to check out the newly released timetables of activities at Sunshine and St Albans Leisure Centres, with 88 classes now available.

The centres offer programs to suit all ages, interests and fitness levels – including strength classes, cardio classes, and classes designed specifically for older residents.

There's a membership options to suit you, and you 'try before you buy' when you sign up for a seven day guest trial pass.
