Brimbank Community Grants are open!


Brimbank City Council is proud to strengthen local groups and increase community connections through the $330,000 Brimbank Community Grants Program 2016/17.

Applications are now open until Sunday 17 July 2016.

Brimbank City Council’s Chair of Administrators, John Watson, said the Community Grants Program enables Council to support valued groups and programs.

“Our Community Grants Program provides one-off financial assistance to not-for-profit organisations that deliver services or undertake activities that support and improve the community’s health and wellbeing”.

“This can also include support for life-long learning opportunities and the development of partnerships and networks amongst community groups and individuals,” Mr Watson said.

For 2016/2017, applications will be accepted under the categories of:

  • Community Leadership;
  • Healthy and Connected Communities and Environment;
  • Gender Equity and Family Violence Prevention; and
  • Lifelong Learning.

In June grants information and writing sessions will be held at the following locations, bookings are required.
