Is your family looking for flexible, quality child care in a home environment?
The Brimbank Family Day Care Service offers high quality, flexible full-time, part-time or casual child care options for children from birth to age 13 years in a home environment.
The service currently has 55 qualified educators across the municipality who provide education and care for children in various areas of Brimbank.
The service has exceeded the Australian Government’s National Quality Standard in all seven quality areas, which is the highest possible rating.
Brimbank Family Day Care educators work in partnership with parents and Brimbank City Council’s qualified coordination unit to provide inclusive quality education and care for children of all abilities.
Families enrolling their child/children in the Brimbank Family Day Care Service are guided through the enrolment process by Council’s coordination unit staff, who also support the educator to settle the child/ren into care.
Coordination unit staff make regular, unannounced fortnightly visits to educator homes to observe the quality of the education and care provided, and to effectively resource and support educators in all aspects of their practices.
Where possible, educators can take children to and from local kindergartens and schools. Overnight and weekend care is available if necessary.
To assist with the payment of fees, as an approved child care service, families are able to claim the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate.
