Bringing Harmony to Brimbank

Summary

Become a Brimbank Harmony Ambassador! Brimbank Harmony Ambassadors are now being recruited to deliver a community education program called Harmony in our Neighbourhood.

Brimbank Harmony Ambassadors are now being recruited to deliver a community education program called Harmony in our Neighbourhood.

Harmony Ambassadors are community members who support council in promoting diversity, increasing the participation of local residents and reducing discrimination.

Harmony in our Neighbourhood aims to build capacity within the community by connecting with new and emerging Brimbank communities and improving intercultural understanding.

Harmony Ambassadors will undergo training to build skills in cross cultural communication and understanding of local government.

Benefits of being a Brimbank Harmony Ambassador include:

  • Becoming an active citizen, contributing to community life and wellbeing;
  • Supporting the community and increasing the capacity of community members to become active citizens; and
  • Access to transferable training opportunities.

If you're interested in becoming a Harmony Ambassador contact our Diversity and Inclusion Planning Officer before Friday 5 February. People from recently arrived communities are encouraged to apply.
