Designer Candy – A Sweet Success

Summary

A passion for premium handmade candy has seen Designer Candy grow into Australia’s biggest manufacturer of quality candy.

Established in 2007, the much awarded company of confectioners and candy consultants works from a candy factory and showroom in Tullamarine.

Company Director Kate Dickinson says, ”Our team takes great pride in creating the very best quality candy, traditional acid drops and lollipops for weddings, corporate, and wholesale markets.”

Expertly Handmade

Every product at Designer Candy is handmade, a process which takes a lot of time and expertise. The art of creating rock candy by hand is a highly specialised skill which takes many years to perfect.

The handmade candy has words and images inside. These are created in large 3D versions of the letters or images which are then built up in layers to create a giant version of the lolly, before being stretched out into thin rods and chopped into bite size pieces. Customers can visit the Tullamarine factory to see the magic for themselves.

Designer Candy also produces promotional candy with business names or logos embedded in the candy. It is a clever (and tasty) way to advertise a business and impress clients!

Award Winner

Designer Candy has been recognised for its professionalism and high quality standards with a number of awards in the wedding and bridal industry and is accredited with both the Australian Bridal Service (ABS) and the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA).

Designer Candy has also been a finalist or winner in the Victorian ABIA Awards Bomboniere Category every year since 2011.

Importance of Social Responsibility

Company Director Kate Dickinson is very proud of the Company’s strong sense of corporate social responsibility which sees Designer Candy donate much of its excess candy to Network Heaven, a not-for-profit organisation aiding thousands of underprivileged children in Sri Lanka.
