If something is out of order, just get online and report it!

Brimbank Council has switched on a new online reporting tool making it easier for the community to report an issue or request a service.

The new tool, Report It, allows residents to report an issue or lodge a service request by submitting details via Council’s website brimbank.vic.gov.au/report-it as an alternative to sending an email, calling or visiting a Council centre.

Each year, Council receives over 155,000 service queries – the new online tool will simplify the process and help the community report on issues including vandalism of street furniture, litter, dumped rubbish, abandoned vehicles, or any concerns relating to parks, roads, footpaths, pets and graffiti.

Brimbank Mayor Cr Margaret Giudice said Council is pleased to offer an automated reporting tool that is easy to use and reduces the wait time for our residents.

“We have listened to the community and designed a reporting tool that delivers quicker response times and provides a better overall customer experience.

“What’s great is the reporting tool integrates directly with Council’s backend system, which automatically raises the requests with the responsible area ensuring we can resolve issues as quickly as possible.

“Adding to this, residents can keep up to date with their service request, by opting to receive a text message or email informing them on the progress of their request.

“As a responsive Council, we are committed to providing accessible and timely services that meet the needs of our diverse community,” said Cr Giudice.
