Council is asking you to have your say about what you want Council to fund in 2018/2019. We're interested in your ideas to help us create a city we can all be proud of. Council will use this feedback to inform the budget for 2018/2019.

The budget delivers important services to you such as local roads and drainage, waste collection, and recycling. Council also provides community services such as Home and Community Care, recreation and cultural activities, library and information services.

You can provide feedback online and through postage-paid postcards (available at Council facilities) or attend one of the drop-in sessions:

  • Wednesday 6 December, 10.30am-12.30pm
    Sydenham Neighbourhood House
    Level 1, 1 Station Street
    Watergardens Town Centre, Taylors Lakes
  • Thursday 7 December, 10am-12noon

Seeking Nominations - 2018 Brimbank Australia Day Awards

Do you know an inspiring individual or a community group who deserves to be awarded for their outstanding contribution to Brimbank? If so, why not nominate them for a 2018 Brimbank Australia Day Award?

Each year Brimbank City Council invites nominations for the prestigious Australia Day Awards, presented to local individuals and groups who have made an outstanding contribution to our community. These Awards will be announced at a ceremony on Monday 22 January 2018 and acknowledged again on Australia Day, 26 January 2018.

  • Citizen of the Year Award
  • Young Citizen of the Year Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Community Sport Achievement Award
  • Community Wellbeing Award
  • Cultural Achievement Award
  • Educator of the Year Award
  • Environmental Achievement Award
  • Essential Services Excellence Award

Carols at the Castle

Friday 15 December,
Overnewton Castle, 51 Overnewton Rd, Keilor

  • Time: Gates open at 5pm. Concert 7–9pm
  • Tickets: $20 family of five; $8 singles; $5 concessions,
  • Tickets available via Eventbrite 

All money from ticket sales goes to the Brimbank Community Fund (BCF) – raising money for local charities.

Ordinary Council Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month (except December). Meetings are open to the public and meeting agenda and minutes can be found at Council Meeting Agendas and Minutes.

Brimbank City Council is offering more and more online services. By registering an account you will create your own personal dashboard for easy pre-populated access to a range of services.
