Helen Morrissey has been appointed Brimbank City Council’s Chief Executive Officer.
Helen has acted in the role for the last six months. In announcing the appointment Mayor Cr Margaret Giudice said “Helen is an exceptional leader, and has a clear vision for how the Council and the organisation can work collaboratively to improve service and advocate for better community outcomes at a state and federal level.
Helen has worked at Brimbank since 2010 and has almost 30 years’ experience in the sector.
Helen has played a significant role in transforming service delivery and improving accountability and transparency at Brimbank.
Through her leadership Council has a robust governance framework, increased community engagement practices and digital services that are setting the benchmark for local government across Australia,” Cr Giudice said.
There will be no waste collections on Christmas Day, Monday 25 December and New Year’s Day, Monday 1 January.
Collections will occur the next day for the rest of the week. Friday’s collections will take place on the Saturday.
The Draft Age Friendly City Plan 2017-2021 will ensure that services for older people are well planned, accessible and responsive, and is based on the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Age Friendly Cities framework.
