Help Council set a new community vision for JR Parsons Reserve
Help us develop a community vision and site plan for JR Parsons Reserve, located on the corner of Wright and Stanford streets, Sunshine.
The reserve has a range of sporting and recreation settings for residents and visitors, including football, cricket, tennis, and recreational areas, and offers two sports ovals, six tennis courts, cricket practice nets, a playground, and bushland area. It is home to Sunshine Park Tennis Club, the Grand United Cricket Club and the Albion Football Club.
Mayor of Brimbank, Cr Lucinda Congreve invited community input to help Council prepare a vision and site plan for JR Parsons Reserve.
“We need your help to make the reserve better and to keep pace with the community’s changing needs.
“The new vision will guide the future direction, use and development of the reserve.
“The feedback will help us to understand what will make JR Parsons Reserve more useful to the community, and a more attractive destination for leisure and recreation use.
“It will help us to develop clear directions for the future upgrade and renewal of existing facilities and spaces within the reserve, and where required, may recommend the development of a new multi-purpose sporting and community facility.
“It is important that our whole community has a say and I encourage you to provide your feedback on how we can improve this great asset for the community,” Cr Congreve said.
Community members can provide their feedback by completing an online survey at our Have your Say page.
Printed surveys will also be available at your nearest customer service centre, library or neighbourhood house, or by calling Council on 9249 4000 to request a copy.
The survey closes on Friday 1 March 2019.
Community consultation will be held for interested residents to attend and participate in activities, discuss the project and provide feedback on the reserve.
