Hidden Gems - Davitt Drive Reserve

Have you visited Davitt Drive Reserve in Deer Park lately? We’re proud to announce the Davitt Drive Reserve suburban playground has just received a $450,000 transformation including a new improved playground, better access to the Kororoit Creek shared use walking and cycling trail, and more space for picnics!

The new playground has been sensibly repositioned at the northern corner of the reserve to take advantage of existing mature shade trees.

For play – there’s now a fun upgraded playground with new equipment, picnic facilities with a barbecue, drinking fountain and a large shelter.

This great new space also has a pathway that links to the Kororoit Creek shared-use trail.

The junior soccer field and fenced off-leash dog park are still there, as well as the popular Kororoit Creek walking and running circuit, making this space great for our physical and mental health to help you get outdoors and be active.

This is all part of Council’s ongoing commitment to the Creating Better Parks Policy and Plan. Since being originally adopted in 2008, Council has invested almost $32 million upgrading and creating 105 parks in Brimbank.

So if you’re wondering where to have your next gathering, in a kid-friendly, dog-friendly space, check out Davitt Drive Reserve.
