We've started on the update of our award-winning Creating Better Parks – Open Space and Playground Policy and Plan and we're asking you to help.

Complete our online survey and tell us your thoughts on the impact and gaps associated with our delivery of Creating Better Parks.

If you complete the survey you'll go into the draw to win an iPad (after completing your contact details at the end of the survey).

The survey will remain open until 5pm on Friday 9 October 2015.

The survey will help us find out

  • how park upgrades have impacted your neighbourhood;
  • which parks you're visiting, and how often;
  • what you enjoy about the parks; and
  • what new things you'd like in Brimbank's parks.

Award Winning Policy
Creating Better Parks won an Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) Planning Award in 2008. Ardeer Community Park and Alice’s Playspace at Errington Reserve, St Albans have also won awards from the AILA and Parks and Leisure Association respectively.

Transforming Our Park Network
Chair of Brimbank Administrators, Mr John Watson said Council is keen to hear from as many people as possible to make sure the update reflects your feedback and ideas. After all, it's created for you.

“This policy and plan established a framework for a major transformation of Brimbank’s park network. In the seven years since Creating Better Parks was adopted we've upgraded 83 parks at a cost of about $20 million, including our five flagship parks.

“We're now taking the opportunity to look at some of the functional aspects of the park network and consider what gaps there may be."
