Brimbank City Council is seeking expressions of interest from business and property owners to be part of a St Albans Town Centre Partnership Group that will play a key role in promoting the ongoing transformation of the town centre.

Brimbank City Council is seeking expressions of interest from business and property owners to be part of a St Albans Town Centre Partnership Group that will play a key role in promoting the ongoing transformation of the town centre.

Brimbank Mayor Cr Margaret Giudice said the new partnership group would provide an important advisory function to Council, by offering strategic direction, feedback and its opinion about matters that impact the town centre.

“Council is working to progress the ongoing improvement of the St Albans Town Centre through the Go St Albans program, which was introduced last year to develop the town centre to reach its full potential.

“The new St Albans Town Centre Partnership Group is a key element of the Go St Albans program.

“We’re looking for business operators and property owners with a passion for making St Albans an even better place to visit, shop, work, study and live.

“We aim to encourage the development and enhancement of the St Albans Town Centre, so if this is your passion, please consider submitting an expression of interest to be part of the St Albans Town Centre Partnership Group,” Cr Giudice said.

The St Albans Town Centre Partnership Group will bring together the public and private sectors with the aim of improving the economic vitality and community life of the centre.

The Group will comprise of 14 members, including an independent chair, Councillors and council executives, a state government agency representative, industry and property owners and community representatives.

The industry, property owner and community representatives would be selected based on their:

  • Demonstrated interest in joining the Group
  • Knowledge/experience that will benefit the Group
  • Connection to the St Albans Town Centre
  • Previous experience in participating in an association, committee of management, or similar.
