Summary

Offers for four-year old kindergarten placements in 2020 have been sent to all eligible parents.

Offers for four-year old kindergarten placements in 2020 have been sent to all eligible parents.

Offers detail the kindergarten each child has been allocated to, together with instructions on how to accept or decline the offer.

Brimbank Mayor Cr Lucinda Congreve said it is extremely important for parents to accept or decline the kindergarten offer.

“If you’ve received a kindergarten placement offer for your child, it’s important to accept the offer to secure their child’s placement, or decline so other children can be offered the placement in subsequent offer rounds.

“Kindergarten is an important step in a child’s education, and will shape your child’s development in the pathway towards primary school,” Cr Congreve said.

If your child is eligible to attend kindergarten in 2020 and has not been registered with Brimbank Council, fill out the online registration form at brimbank.vic.gov.au or visit your closest Brimbank Council Customer Service Centre.

Families who have received a kinder offer that is not what they want or who would like to change preferences, cancel or defer their child’s registration for another year, can do so at www.brimbank.vic.gov.au/kindergarten-portal

In Brimbank, children are initially registered for kindergarten soon after birth by their Maternal and Child Health Nurse.

It is recommended children attend a 3½-4 year old Maternal and Child Health assessment prior to starting kindergarten.
