Lighting up St Albans

Summary

Twenty-four under awning lights were recently installed in St Albans along Main Road West (between Amy and Mitchell streets) and along Princess Street and St Albans Road.

Twenty-four under awning lights were recently installed in St Albans along Main Road West (between Amy and Mitchell streets) and along Princess Street and St Albans Road as part of an initiative to improve the quality of lighting, safety and natural surveillance in those areas.

The project was funded by a $20,000 grant provided to the St Albans Business Group Association (Association) and Council from the Victorian Government’s Community Safety Grant.

This is the third consecutive year that funding has been provided to the Association and Council to improve perceptions of safety and the quality of lighting along footpaths in the St Albans Town Centre.
