Looking better than ever – Sunshine Leisure Centre

Summary

Sunshine Leisure Centre is looking better than ever following the completion of upgrade and maintenance work to the foyer, indoor leisure pool and indoor change rooms.

A new café has been introduced at reception, alongside new flooring in the foyer, more seating and a dedicated merchandise area.

The indoor leisure pool and spa have undergone essential maintenance works, and the indoor change rooms have been renovated.

Mayor of Brimbank, Cr Lucinda Congreve said Council is working to make sure facilities and services at Brimbank’s leisure centres meet the needs and expectations of the community and centre members.

“Sunshine Leisure Centre is a much-loved community facility and we want to make sure its full potential is realised.

“We’ve made a number of improvements at the centre in recent times.

“We’ve introduced year-round swimming in the outdoor pool, RPM classes, and next month we’ll be opening up our health club to members 24 hours a day.

“The physical improvements we’ve made over the last couple of months will provide a better experience for everyone visiting the centre.

“If you haven’t visited Sunshine Leisure Centre recently, why not drop in for a coffee and have a look around.

“Better yet, come along to our Open Day on Sunday 22 September from 11am to 3pm. There’ll be free entry and plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy while you rediscover the centre,” Cr Congreve said.

In addition to the completion of works, Council recently adopted the Sunshine Leisure Centre Master Plan which sets a vision for more indoor water space, a major expansion of the gym, and indoor water play area amongst future improvements for the centre.
