Make Cycling and Footpaths in Brimbank Better - Take Our Survey

Summary

Brimbank already has a great network of trails and paths for cyclists and pedestrians. But we want to make them even better – with your help.

Council is seeking community feedback via an online survey. Feedback will be analysed and incorporated into the revised strategy.

  • Take our survey to have your say regarding the future of cycling and walking in Brimbank.

Council is reviewing the Brimbank Cycling and Walking Strategy in response to a number of changes that have occurred since the strategy was adopted in 2008.

Initiatives such as the $4.8 million, 6.4km Sunshine Trail shared user path, which was officially opened last year, have already helped to connect cyclists and pedestrians with greater access to centres within and beyond Brimbank.

Likewise the Western Metropolitan Regional Trails Strategic Plan (West Trails) initiative, developed by six local councils in Melbourne’s west, aims to improve connectivity, quality and usage of regional trails in Melbourne’s western region over the next 10 years.

Council wants to better reflect these new works and initiatives in its strategy – as well as the views of existing trail users across Brimbank.
