Brimbank Council is offering a new outreach mobile service that delivers Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and Early Years services to key parts of the community, making health and wellbeing services even more accessible to families living in Brimbank.
Mayor of Brimbank, Cr Margaret Giudice said that it was important for Council to expand its MCH and Early Years services for the increasing needs of this fast growing community.
“We want to make sure our babies and young children get a great start in life, as well as support new parents.
“We are proud that the outreach program supports families with young children, by creating a safe and welcoming environment for parents and their families.
“Council is committed to delivering programs that improve the health and wellbeing of families in our culturally and linguistically diverse community,” Cr Giudice said.
We are currently planning for the mobile outreach service to progressively visit other locations in Brimbank. More information will be available in future at brimbank.vic.gov.au.
For more information email MCHadmin@brimbank.vic.gov.au or call 9249 4433.
Council invested $33,800 to convert the mobile bus – which includes $20,000 in funding provided under the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.
A fast and easy online appointment service is now available for parents and carers to make, cancel or reschedule Maternal and Child Health (MCH) appointments at any time of the day or night. The online appointment service allows families to book all key age and stage appointments from four months of age.
