Do you have unwanted items that are too big or too good to throw out? Clean out your home, load up the car or trailer and take your unwanted items to the ‘Pop-Up Drive Through Recycling Day’ at JR Parsons Reserve in Sunshine, on Sunday 31 March from 9am-2pm.

You can safely and conveniently drop off your large unwanted household items, for reuse or recycling at the new ‘Pop-Up Drive Through Recycling Day’ – all at no charge.

Mayor of Brimbank, Cr Lucinda Congreve said this is a great opportunity to declutter your home and dispose of unwanted items responsibly by giving them a new life rather than going to landfill.

“It’s easy and no charge for residents to participate in the Pop-Up event. On the day, simply load up the car or trailer and arrive at the location, we’ll take care of the rest - you don’t even need to get out of your car.

“We are partnering with local charity organisations, including West Welcome Wagon and Bikes 4 Life, to recycle and repurpose unwanted household items, including mattresses, whitegoods and electronic items.

“So pack up your car or trailer and let’s get recycling, and help the environment,” Cr Congreve said.
