The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival returns to Sunshine in 2017 with the inaugural Sunshine FOOD Fever! Tickets are available for booking now at www.melbournefoodandwine.com.au.

Proudly hosted by the Sunshine Business Association, Sunshine FOOD Fever is the ultimate four course Sunshine progressive dinner.

Sunshine FOOD Fever takes you on a food journey that celebrates and reflects the successive waves of Asian, African and Pacific Island immigration that make Sunshine one of the most culturally diverse places in Australia.

Food as a Journey - Where You'll Go

Your food journey begins by meeting local Kiwi Ka Pies bakers who have transformed the humble Australian staple – the meat pie – into a range of pies, including vegan, reflecting Sunshine's tastes, at the same time receiving national awards and accolades.

Then meet head cooks from three restaurants as they take you behind-the-scenes, presenting dishes celebrating their family, history and place. Sample North Vietnamese dry pho (a dry version of Vietnamese noodle soup) and salads, followed by a traditional Ethiopian or Indian banquet, all reflecting the communities that have called Sunshine home over the last 10 years.

Sunshine FOOD Fever finishes with a taste of the future – Afghan sweets and drinks from our newest community.
