Restoration of the historic H.V.McKay Sunshine Harvester is close to completion, ready for its 'debut' in the new Brimbank Community and Civic Centre. The Harvester will be suspended from the foyer ceiling in the new centre.
Robert Jackson (in the cap) is doing the majority of the clean up work on the Harvester involving meticulously washing it down and touching up the paintwork.
Mitch, who is a sign writing and lettering specialist, has been brought in specifically to redo the detailed lettering on the main panel.
Hugh Victor McKay developed the revolutionary Sunshine Harvester in 1884 when he was only 18.
