Sunvale Community Park Community Consultation

Summary

The preliminary master plan for the future Sunvale Community Park will be available to view and provide feedback on at a listening post being held onsite on Thursday 10 December 2015 from 3.30-8pm.

Chair of Brimbank Administrators Mr John Watson said Council had used feedback received at the last consultation event held at the former Sunvale Primary School site in December 2014 to develop preliminary plans for the site.

“We were really happy with the level of community interest, and the amount of feedback we received, at the initial listening post held last year.

“This feedback was essential in informing the development of a preliminary master plan for the site. This time we'll be presenting the preliminary master plan to the community for further comment.

“This is an opportunity to view the plans and discuss them directly with Council staff. The feedback will then be used to help develop the draft master plan for the site,” Mr Watson said.

Brimbank City Council purchased the 1.1 hectare section of the former Sunvale Primary School site, for the purpose of establishing a new public park, from the State Government in March 2014.

The Sunshine Community Park listening post will be held on Thursday 10 December from 3.30-8pm off Neil Street, Sunshine (Melways reference MAP 26 J11). There will be a barbecue and children’s entertainment.

Feedback can be sent directly to
