Book your seat on the Public Art Bus Tour which will run on Friday 4 March, 6-9pm to view the evocative artworks that are located across Brimbank at no charge.
Artworks to be featured include a sneak peek at internationally recognised artist John Kelly’s progress on Man lifting cow, an iconic sculpture that will be situated in Hampshire Road, Sunshine once complete.
The tour will also include St Albans’ Seeds of Hopes and Dreams, a metal artwork inspired in part by the indigenous yam daisy and Derrimut’s Spiral Graph Seat a functional installation that enhances Balmoral Park.
Art murals in Anderson Road and Sun Crescent; Sunshine and Alfreida Street in St Albans will also be visited along with the installation Reflexio Qualis in Sunshine.
Tour participants will be introduced to Brimbank’s Art Spaces in Sunshine and Keilor, which feature regular exhibitions and/or are used as artist studios. Hunt Club Community Arts Centre in Deer Park will also be visited; it is a venue for exhibitions and hosts a program of art classes throughout the year.
The tour is part of Light Up Sunshine’s program of events which runs until early April and also features the illumination exhibition Legless Lizards’ Dwelling People: City of Light, Spirit of Place from Friday 19 February to Tuesday 15 March at Sunshine Art Spaces City Place, Sunshine.
