Winter is coming! Apply now to get In2Sport

The sun may still be shining, but now is the time to apply for Brimbank’s sports membership subsidy program, In2Sport Brimbank, for winter 2018.

A priority application period for females and first time applicants opens 22 January 2018.

Applications for everyone else open on 19 February 2018.

Under the program, children between six and 18 years are eligible to apply for up to $200 financial help (up to 75 per cent of the membership cost) to contribute to club fees, provided they live in Brimbank and their name is listed on a Health Care Card or Pension Concession Card.

Mayor of Brimbank, Cr Margaret Giudice said In2Sport has been extremely successful in helping kids across Brimbank join in local sports.

“Since the program was first introduced in early 2013 we’ve provided more than 2000 subsidised sports club memberships to help more than 1300 kids get involved in local sports.

“Of these subsidised memberships, almost 900 have been for kids who had never played sport before.

“I encourage any families out there with kids who want to join a local sports club - and who meet the criteria - to apply,” the Mayor said.
