Women in business lunch - flying high!

Local business members are invited to attend the Women in Business Lunch being held on 14 September.

Brimbank Mayor Cr Margaret Giudice said the event offers an opportunity to hear from leading women and network with other business people.

“This is the second Women in Business lunch that Council is holding.

“Attendees can look forward to hearing from elite athlete Lydia Lassila talk about her experience in rising to the top of her chosen sport, and how she’s applied her resilience and mental toughness to building a thriving business.

“People know Lydia Lassila as an Olympic athlete; but she’s also a successful entrepreneur.

“Over the past 1O years Lydia has been building a business very successfully. Her business Body Ice, offers a range of remedial ice and heat packs to manage and treat injuries. Lydia is also the author of “Jump” and is the subject of the documentary “The Will to Fly”.

“Another drawcard is our MC, who is sports journalist and documentary maker Angela Pippos.

“This is a great opportunity to hear firsthand from these inspirational women,” Cr Giudice said.

The event will also provide a platform to connect and network whether you are an established business or just getting started.

The Women in Business Lunch will be on 14 September from 11.30am-2.30pm at at Overnewton Castle, 51 Overnewton Rd, Keilor VIC 3036. Tickets cost $45.
